Thornham Walks consultation

On behalf of Thornham Walks and Beyond the Wall we would like to thank everybody who completed the consultation survey circulated in July. We had a great response with nearly 200 surveys completed.

We are now in the process of analysing the data and proceeding with other parts of the consultation process.

We will give some detailed feedback on the results of the survey in due course but it was heartwarming that the overwhelming majority of responders were keen for the Thornham Walks site to remain a public facility and clearly valued the services currently being offered.

Please note the Thornham Walled Garden is open to the general public between 9am and 4 pm at weekends and during school holidays when staff and volunteers are on site.

We are keen for people to visit the garden and see the work of the learners at Beyond the Wall so if you would like to pre-arrange a visit, please contact us in advance on admin@beyondthewall.org.uk or 01379 788 700.

If you are interested in volunteering to help open the Walled Garden we are currently looking for people who are available between March and September on Saturdays and Sundays between the hours of 12am and 4pm.

Volunteers would not be expected to know anything about gardening or the Beyond the Wall charity, the main responsibility is just to be there on site.

It’s a pleasant place to read a book or just spend some time …
